Product Management Application Roles

The roles that are available for the Product Management are the following:

• Reader: grants permissions to view, but not modify, products, drafts, and categories that are being developed. This group typically includes call center employees and point of sale (POS) staff.

For example, a user can be given the Reader Role at the Global Scope level allowing this user to review the Catalog information at that level.

• Editor: grants permissions to add and modify products and drafts, as well as submit changes for approval. The Product Content Editor (PCE) is usually granted permissions to work on specific markets.
• Publisher: grants permissions to publish products and reject drafts of new or modified products.
• Products Administrator: grants the highest level of permissions to access to the Product Management (Product Information > Administration) in the Orchestration Console The Products Administrator can set, manage, and delete product attributes, definitions, categories, relationships and associations.
