Notes Panels

Using The Customer, Order, and Shipping Notes panels you can add notes to each of these items. You can track the handling of orders and shipments as well as customer interactions (feedback, inquiries, and so on).

Accessing the Notes Panels

You can access the Customer notes panels from the Order and Customer Details panels.
You can access the Order and Shipping Notes panels from the Order Details panel.

Accessing the Customer Notes panel from the Customer Details panel:

In the Customer Details panel header, click the   Add Note icon.

The Customer Notes panel slides open.

Accessing the Customer Notes panel from the Order Details panel:

In the Order Summary panel, click the   Add Note icon in the Customer Info header.

The Customer Notes panel slides open with a summary of Customer information (name, email address, address, and a summary of the last purchase order). In addition, you can add your own notes.

Accessing the Order Notes panel from the Order Details panel:

In the Order Summary panel, click the   Add Noteicon in the Order Info header.

Accessing the Fulfillment Notes panel from the Order Details panel:

1. Select the Fulfillmenttab.
2. In the Shipment header, click the Add Noteicon.

The Fulfillment Notes panel slides open.

There are three types of notes panels as follows:

Customer notes - You can keep notes about a customer.
Shipping notes - You can keep notes about a shipment.
Order notes - Some Order notes are Shipment Info Note Panels and vary from the notes described here in that they also contain fulfillment information about the shipment.

Notes panels typically contain the following controls:

Control

Description

Upper text box

Displays all entries added to the Notes panel so far.

Lower text box

Enter new notes.

Save icon

Saves your changes.

Cancel icon

Cancels your changes and clears the lower text box.
