Edit Security Roles Lightbox
Use the Edit Security Roles lightbox to Edit Users, Groups, and Custom Roles.
Accessing the Edit Security Roles lightbox for a User Profile:
1. | In the Navigation panel, select Users, |
2. | Select a User in the list and double-click it. |
3. | Select the Direct Roles tab. |
The tab displays the Orchestration Console Roles currently associated with the User.
4. | Click Edit at the bottom of the tab. |
Accessing the Edit Security Roles lightbox for a Group:
You can only associate System Roles and Custom Roles to Groups that already exist in the Active Directory (AD) or Windows Azure Active Directory (Windows Azure AD) that is associated with Orckestra Commerce Cloud.
5. | In the Navigation panel, select Groups. |
The Orchestration Console displays a listing of user groups imported from Active Directory (AD).
Each Group is listed with its Display name and Directory ID. By default, the list is sorted by Display Name.
6. | Select the Roles tab. |
The tab displays the Orchestration Console Roles currently associated with the Group.
7. | Click Edit at the bottom of the tab. |
The Edit Security Roles lightbox opens.
Roles are scoped. A user with Security Administrator role can only assign System Roles to users for Scopes where the user with Security Administrator role has been assigned the Role of User Permission Editor. Additionally, the user with Security Administrator role can only manage the roles that the user has been assigned.
The Edit Security Roles lightbox displays a listing of all the Orchestration Console Roles available in the system and has the following tabs:
Scope
The Scope tab is displayed by default when the Edit Security Roles lightbox opens. Use the Scope tab to select or change the scope that the Role will be granted for.

Displays the Scopes in the Commerce Modeler in navigation tree format. Navigate through the Scope tree to select a Scope that the Role will be associated with. |
Selected Scope |
Lists the Scopes that the Roles will be associated with. |
Remove All |
Removes all the selected scopes in the Selected Scope list. |
Continue to Step 2 |
Opens the Role tab. |
Role
The Role tab is displayed by selecting the Continue to Step 2 link at the bottom of the lightbox after selecting at least one Scope. Use the Role tab to assign the System Roles to the user.

Lists the System Roles and Custom Roles according to the selected application (Product Information, Order Management, Marketing, Settings, Security, Analytics, or Custom). The default is All Applications. |

Remove All |
Click to remove all roles. |
Back to Step 1 |
Opens the Scope tab. However, you can also click the Scope tab to do this. |
