Email Templates Details Panel

SETTINGS > ADMINISTRATION

Use the Email Templates Details panel to view and modify the contents of your email templates.

You can view and modify the scope and language-culture for your email templates from the details panel.

Accessing the Email Templates Details panel:

In the Navigation panel on the left, click Email Templates.

A list of all the email templates that are defined in the system is displayed.

Select the scope that you require by using the Scope selector. A list of all the email templates that are associated with the selected scope is displayed.

Double-click a template in the list., to view the details of that email template.

The Email Templates list

The Email Templates list contains the following controls and commands:

Name	Description
Scope Selector	Specifies the scope that you require.
Name	The name of the email template.
Scope	The scope that the email template is defined in.
Is Active	The state of the email template for the selected scope. Possible states include the following: Active or an empty field.
Add	Add an email template for the selected scope.

The Email Templates Details panel

The Email Templates Details panel contains the following controls and commands:

Name	Description
Email Template Name	The email template name displayed at the top of the details panel. Note: After the template is created, this name cannot be changed.
Inheritance	Displays the inheritance state when viewing an email template from a dependent catalog.
Language-culture Selector	Specifies the Language-Culture to use for this email template. The default choice is already displayed, you can also select from the drop-down list.
Display Name	The name of the email template.
Active check box	Specifies whether or not an email template is active.
Description	The email template description.
Subject	The subject of the email message.
Sender Display Name	The name of the email sender.
Receiver Display Name	The name of the email receiver.
Edit HTML button	Launches the Edit Content dialog box so that you can edit the HTML Body using an HTML editor. You can also add formatting to the HTML Body. This button is only active when in Edit mode.
HTML Body	The HTML body of the email message.
Text Body	The text body of the email message.
Delete	Delete an email template. The Delete option is only available when the selected scope matches the template scope.
Edit	Edit an email template. The Edit function is only available when viewing email template details in read-only mode.
Save	Save an email template. The Save option is only available when viewing email template details in edit mode.
Cancel	Cancel email template changes. The Cancel option is only available when viewing email template details in edit mode.
Reestablish inheritance	Reestablish inheritance for an email template. The reestablish inheritance option is only available when a template that exists in a parent scope has been overridden in the current scope.
