Template Variables Details Panel
Use the Template Variables Details panel to view and modify the contents of your template variables.
Accessing the Email Templates Variables Details panel:
1. | In the Navigation panel, click Email Templates. |
A list of all the email templates that are defined in the system is displayed.
2. | Select the scope that you require by using the Scope selector. A list of all the email templates that are associated with the selected scope is displayed. |
3. | Double-click a template in the list, to view the details of that email template. |
You can view and modify the scope and language-culture for your template variables from the details panel.
Template variables list
The Template Variables list contains the following controls and commands:

Specifies the scope that you require. |
Name |
The name of the template variable. |
Default Value |
The default value for the variable. |
Scope |
The scope that the email template is defined in. |
Add |
Add a template variable for the selected scope. |
Template Variables Details Panel

Variable Name |
The template variable name displayed at the top of the details panel. Note: After the template variable is created, this name cannot be changed. |
Inheritance |
Displays the inheritance state when viewing a template variable from a dependent catalog. |
Name |
The name of the template variable. |
Description |
The template variable description. |
Value |
The template variable values section. |
Default |
Displays the default language-culture used for this template variable followed by a value field where the template variable value can be specified, for that language-culture. |

Expands the other languages section. |
Other Languages |
Specifies the other language-cultures that are defined for the template variable followed by value fields where the template variable value can be specified, for those language-cultures. |

Collapses the other languages section. |
Delete |
Delete a template variable. The Delete option is only available when the selected scope matches the template scope. |
Edit |
Edit a template variable. The Edit option is only available when viewing template variable details in read-only mode. |
Save |
Save a template variable. The Save option is only available when viewing template variable details in edit mode. |
Cancel |
Cancel template variable changes. The Cancel option is only available when viewing template variable details in edit mode. |
Reestablish inheritance |
Reestablish inheritance for a template variable. The reestablish inheritance option is only available when a template variable that exists in a parent scope has been overridden in the current scope. |
