Delete a Payment Method

You can delete a saved payment method from the Saved Payments tab of a customer record so that it is not offered as a payment option for future transactions.

You can only delete a payment method for a scope or child scope that you have permission to delete.
You can view saved payment methods defined at a parent sales scope from a dependent scope. However, if you do not have access to that parent scope, you cannot delete the saved method.
After a saved payment is deleted, it is no longer available as a selection for a future transaction from the Orchestration Console and it is immediately removed from use by the payment provider (hosted page, for example).

The services to view and delete a saved payment are available for consumption from an external website.

Deleting a saved payment method:

1. Double-click a customer record then click the Saved Payments tab.
2. Locate and select the payment method that you want to delete.
3. Click Edit.
4. Click Expand before the scope display name to expand the payment method details.
5. Click Delete next to the payment method that you want to delete.
The Delete Saved Payment Method dialog opens and the following message is displayed:

Are you sure that you want to delete this saved payment method? Method name from Provider name.

The delete operation removes the saved payment method from being used in the Orchestration Console and from the payment provider.

6. Click Ok.
The payment profile is now deleted from the system.
7. Click  Save.
