Add/Edit Address Panel

Use the Add/Edit Address panel to create a new address for the current Customer when creating a new order or modifying an order.

You can access the Add/Edit Address panel in one of the following ways:

In the New Order Lightbox, in the Destination tab, at the bottom of the Address column, click the + Add Address button. The Add Address panel slides open.
In the Order Modification Lightbox, at the bottom of the Fulfillment section, click the Edit Addresslink. The Edit Address panel slides open.

The information entered in this panel will be entered into the list of addresses associated with the Customer.

You can edit the address at a later time in the Add/Edit Address Panel available when you select the Edit Address link in the Fulfillment tab of the Order Modification Lightbox of the Order module.

You can also edit the address in the Edit Address Lightbox available from the Addresses Tab in the Customer Details Panel of the Customer module.

If you close this panel at any time without saving the contents, the address will be lost. If you create the address, but cancel the order without saving it, the address will not be lost and can be found in the Customer Details panel > Address tab. (You may need to refresh the display.)


Address Tab

The Address tab is displayed by default. Use it to enter the address and contact information.

The Address tab contains the following fields and controls:

Name

Description

Header section

Displays the Panel name

Tab section

Displays the Address and Attributes tabs which you can use to switch between the two tabs.

Identification section (Edit address panel only)

Use to select either an existing Customer address or enter a new address.

Address

This column contains all the information required for a delivery address.

Name

Specify a name for the address. This helps to easily identify a particular address among multiple addresses.

Address Line 1

Address Line 2

Specify the street of the address along with other details such as a specific building, office, suite etc.

Country

Specify the Country of the address.

State/Province

Specify the State or Province of the address.

City

Specify the city of the address.

Zip/Postal Code

Specify the Zip or Postal code of the address.

Contact

This column specifies details about a contact person for this address.

First Name

Sspecify the first name of the contact.

Last Name

Specify the last name of the contact.

Phone

Specify a telephone number for the contact.

Email

This must be the customer's unique email address that you entered when you created the customer.

Notes

Afield for entering notes.


Attributes Tab

Using the Attributes tab you can add any attributes and attribute groups for the Address.

The Attributes tab contains the following controls and commands:

Name

Description

Header section

Displays the Panel name.

Tab section

Displays the Edit and Attributes buttons which allow you to switch back and forth between the two tabs.

Categorize view button

Displays the attributes in groups by category.

Alphabetic view button

Displays the attributes in alphabetic order.

Search Filter field

Filters the list of attributes based on the text entered.

Default Attributes

The (optional) attributes in this box are defined for all Addresses.

Preferred Delivery Days

Allows you to select the customer's preferred delivery days.

Delivery Instructions

Adds any special instruction for the delivery agent.

Cross Street

Adds a cross street to facilitate delivery.
