A category is a group of products or services. The sample list, for example, can include a category for women's clothing. with child categories for variations like dresses, shoes, etc.
Or a manufacturer of sporting goods may create a category for all camping equipment. Categories may have numerous child categories.
The Global scope categorization may have the same framework for your ERP, which is often not necessarily representative of what the categorization of your website will look like. It is the sales scope structure that will impact the configuration of your website. The taxonomy of the sales scope is the same that is used to define the website.
