Managing Price Updates by Batch

The Commerce Management application allows you to update prices individually. There are times, however, when prices for large numbers of products and variants must be updated or entered at the same time. These changes can all be made through batch updates, which are performed in the Price Update by Batch tab.

Price updates by batch are made up of three steps:

Exporting Product Batches: An Export feature that allows you to select a price list and the products you wish to view or edit.
Using Excel to Update Product Prices: An Excel spreadsheet generated by the export process, into which you can enter new product and variant prices.

Using Excel to Update Product Prices: An Excel spreadsheet generated by the export process, into which you can enter new product and variant prices.
Importing Product Prices: An Import feature that updates all the edited prices in the Orchestration Console, using the Excel spreadsheet.

If you wish to be made aware of any changes to price lists, you can set up automatic email notifications that will be sent to any stakeholder whose email addresses you provide any time data is exported or imported, regardless of which user initiated the process.

For traceability purposes, four audit reports are also available. They track modifications to specific database tables. They can target a specific table or all tables, and will allow you to select which columns you'd like to report on, within a selected time frame. These reports are designed to be used by administrators with knowledge of database tables.
