Duplicating a product

When creating a product that is similar to an existing product, you can save time by starting with the existing product and copying its contents into the new product. Product creation is greatly accelerated when all you need to do is make a few adjustments.

Creating a product by copying an existing product

1. Open an existing product.
2. In the top toolbar, click Duplicate.

3. A pop-up appears. Enter a unique Product ID.
4. Click OK.

The new Product is created and opens in Draft status.

5. Follow the product creation process. For more information, see Creating Products.
6. Click Save.

Tip: Copying a product also copies its price lists and media files. Ensure that your price lists and media are updated before publishing.

Result: the product and its variants are available to order.
